With an emphasis on building independence and personal development, the YMCA of Greater Vancouver and Y Camps in general encourage campers to gain confidence, learn new skills and challenge themselves through traditional camp activities. Their mission has always been that of inclusivity and wanting to engage youth through environmental education, fun activities and leadership building. Our role in communicating through imagery involved working with real kids in real scenarios. Authenticity or more broadly, honesty, is a core value of the YMCA. It was important that the images conveyed fun, adventure and possibilities.
